This is a bike we did for local guy Dave, across the hall at 327 Words. Good guy, rides a lot, wanted a commuting/sport bike for fenders and a rear bag. We used an old Motobecane paint scheme as a starting point and I think it works well with the decals and for this style of build. The rack design is one we swiped from Toei, note traditional cable stops front and rear.
Dave loves the bike, btw. It took a while to build.
Frame by Curt Goodrich, rack and assembly by Dan Boxer, paint by Russ Pickett, conception by Dave, production HampCo.
Ok, for those of you looking for our poster ’cause maybe you saw it in Bicycling Magazine or something, here’s the poop: Andy and I are both out of the second edition which is what most of you/us have seen (Cinelli did the original version 20 years ago). Pal Jerry at www.bicycleposters.com has a few left, just shoot him a note.
We are working feverishly on a new edition, watch this space for more details. The new poster/print will be better, sharper, possibly smaller, and will clean your house while you sleep.
