Andy and Steve started riding on lugged frames back in the early 1970s and we still think they’re pretty cool. Our Team Pro and Team UOS are designed as short-wheelbase/skinny tire bikes for all-around sport riding or we can stretch things a bit for bigger tires and/or fenders, useful whilst commuting or riding in less-clement weather. Each frame is brazed right here at HampCo Towers by our own Martin Tweedy, who has been building for us since 2000.
Team Pro features the popular Richard Sachs “Issimo” lugs with matching fork crown and BB shell. We use Columbus’ Pego-Richie/Spirit-for-Lugs tubeset, selected for light weight and reliability. Other details include: water-bottle stars, fastback seat cluster, and generous lugged-frame mojo.
Team UOS (Uber Over-Sized) uses similar lugs: the same shape and details as the Issimo but tube diameters have increased to 31.8mm top and seat tubes and 35mm down tube. Customers may choose from lightweight Columbus Life tubing or the more robust Pego-Richie, depending on rider weight and ride preference. A fastback seat cluster with integrated binder bolt is standard with an Enve 1.0 carbon fork or we can do an oversized brazed steel fork upon request.
