Team Pro is the non-commemorative follow-up to our short-lived Giro ’88 model. We have the production nailed with Martin Tweedy silver brazing each frame here at HampCo Towers in Seattle whilst painter Russ painstakingly sprays each frame in Chico, CA. We’ve done many similar frames over the years, now it’s time we made it an official “model” and put one on our site.

Our favorite lugs are still the popular Richard Sachs “Issimo” set along with his own fork crown and BB shell. For 2010 we will be using Columbus’ famous Pego-Richie tubeset (designed by two of our favorite framebuilding luminaries, Dario Pegoretti and Richard Sachs), selected for light weight and reliability. Other details include: water-bottle stars, Sachs dropouts, fluted seat stay caps, lugged-frame mojo.

Primarily conceived as a short-wheelbase/skinny tire model for racing, training, and all-’round sport riding, we can tweak the geometry to suit other needs as requested. Given the light weight and traditional diameters of the tubing we use we consider this frame to have the most compliant ride of the steel frames we offer.
