This frame is our neo-modern salute to that fab decade – the ‘70s – mashed-up with the Alpha Q CS25 carbon fork; ergo, “Classic”. The CS25 is designed for use with 57mm brake calipers, works great with our favorite 28mm tires, and fits a 35mm aluminum Honjo fender with 24mm tires just fine. For diehards we now offer a straight steel fork to complement our steel frames.
Think of this as a fast road bike for fatter tires or fenders; as a light, sporty commuter/winter bike; or as the ultimate weapon for Ronde van Vlaanderen. Our Strada Bianca model will take a larger tire and fender and is designed to feel more stable on rough roads but the Classic counters with lighter weight and a more race-like feel. This is the perfect frame for bigger riders but can be built to suit riders of any size.
Our aluminum and steel frames include your choice of perfect paint, 953 frames get a brushed finish (paint optional), and titanium frames sport either a smooth bead-blasted surface treatment or the brushed look. We offer a good selection of groovy decals – check with Steve to see what is on hand.
